About us
European Capital of Culture center is located about 10 km from the hotel. The pension Gilice Mecsek one of the most beautiful valley situated in a family pension. The sub-Mediterranean climate, the silence of the forest and the surrounding attractions offer the opportunity to rest and meaningful organization of cultural programs.
We’ve opened on 3 December 2005.
Our restaurant was opened by István
Pető, head of Hungarian Gastronomy Association, master chef. His
collaboration helped us raising the level of the evening even higher.
The Gilice pension & restaurant
is run by a single family, with only a small staff and our continuous attention.
In
addition to preparing international and Hungarian dishes, the way of serving
the dishes is just as important to our
chef.
